Jeremy Clarkson has offered a kind gesture towards other struggling pub owners after saving himself from ‘financial ruin’.
The Clarkson’s Farm star, 64, has admitted to facing a series of ‘total disasters’ behind the scenes of his Oxfordshire pub, The Farmer’s Dog, after expenses kept piling up.
Clarkson reportedly splurged £1,000,000 on his new venture and opened the doors to his pub in August after the success of his Diddly Squat farm and shop.
He has since revealed his fears over making profits at the pub and the farm, amid backlash over the prices of food and merchandise.
Clarkson has now offered help to other struggling pub-owners, giving away 1,000 free kegs of beer to those who need help.
He took to Instagram in a video, saying: ‘Welcome to The Farmer’s Dog, it’s a pub I’ve had for about six months now, and I’ve worked out it is a brilliant way of turning £100 into about £94 using nothing but costings.

‘The only thing that is saving me from financial ruin is the fact that we serve Hawkstone lager and Hawkstone cider.
‘If you’ve got a pub and if you want to see if this strategy works for you as well, get in touch with us at our website, and if we like the sound of your pub, if it is the kind of place we want to be in, we’ll send you a free keg.
’88 pints of Hawkstone lager or cider for nothing.’

Fans praised Jeremy’s gesture in the comments, with @itsstepan.givemefive writing: ‘You’re brilliant love how the British people can be helpful.’
Alex meanwhile quipped: ‘If you listen very carefully you can hear his genius.’
‘The extent of his genius knows no bounds,’ Dylan added.

This comes after Clarkson revealed late last year the unexpected costly issues that occurred at his pub, including having to hire ‘a whole team of chemically trained hazmat engineers’ to deal with an accident in one of the outside toilets, only managing to sell five of the 40 Christmas turkeys they’d ordered, and 104 glasses being stolen.
He’s elsewhere shared his worries about making profits at the pub and the farm, which he’s explored over the past seasons of his Amazon Prime Video series.
The former Top Gear star said in his column in The Times: ‘It’s galling to see how much effort is required to make so little money on the farm.
‘It’s worse at the pub. The customers are coming. There’s no problem there. But turning their visits into a profit is nigh-on impossible.’
