This Morning viewers, and Loose Women panelist Judi Love, were left shocked at one competition winner’s plans for her £130,000 prize.
Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary co-hosted the daily ITV daytime chat show that was all about celebrating International Women’s Day, which is taking place tomorrow.
At one point during the episode, they handed over to prize host Jeff Brazier, who finally managed to get through the £130,000 prize winner after a couple of false starts throughout the episode.
The winner, Gaye, was delighted to hear she had secured the loaded prize pot, and when Jeff asked what she was planning to splash out on, her answer left him taken aback.
She replied that she planned to give all the money to her husband, whom she wanted to thank on his birthday for ‘always looking after’ her.
And when Jeff pressed to see if she hoped to go on holiday with her husband with some of the cash, she reiterated it was all his, calling him her ‘knight in shining armour’.

Although Jeff didn’t press any further, viewers were surprised by the definitive handing over of such a huge amount of money.
‘She’s gonna give the money to her husband?? ALL OF IT??,’ @theequeenjay1 questioned.
‘I don’t think she’s understood exactly how much she’s won,’ @mostlystupid shared.
‘Next week they’ll be doing a “why did you get divorced” segment and Gaye will be calling up after giving her hubby 130k,’ Torin said.
‘So she is giving all the money to her husband and keeping none for herself,’ Peterxxx questioned with a confused emoji.
‘Giving all her winnings to her husband on Women’s History Month. The irony,’ Chloe posted.
‘If she is married, why give the money to her husband and not just share it together. After all, it is the 21st century and women can have bank accounts of their own,’ Gingersam posed.

And they weren’t alone in their shock and confusion. When Alison and Dermot checked in with the Loose Women panelists shortly after, Judi Love also made her astonishment clear.
Kaye Adams amusingly declared: ‘I think Judi wants to talk to Gaye about her decision to give all the money to her husband,’ prompting laughter from everyone in the studio.
She even questioned if Gaye had perhaps misheard the prize as ‘130 quid’, with a look of confusion on her face. Ultimately, she concluded: ‘Do you boo-boo, do you! If he’s your knight in shining armour, do you boo-boo.’
Elsewhere in the episode Scottish singer Lulu appeared on the show to talk about her new podcast Turning Points where she delves into the deeper topics with celebrities.
The 76-year-old opened up about her journey writing her memoir and said that the process had led her into therapy. She added that although she had not shared her ‘childhood trauma’ in the past, she would be delving into all this and more in the autobiography.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV at 10am.
