Maya Jama’s private romance with her footballer boyfriend may have just been called out by Gary Lineker.
The Love Island host, 30, may have just had her private relationship called out by the football pundit, 64, in a post shared on the Ballers League social media.
In a video shared online, the presenter could be heard calling Micah Richards her ‘opponent’ and making fun of his age.
‘You disrespected me, didn’t you? You said I look 40 years old,’ said Richards. ‘I’m only 36. You do me wrong man. How old are you?’
Jama replied confidently: ‘I’m 30 actually, on the dot. Just 3, 0, new, fresh 30. I just got there.’
Lineker then interrupted with a joke that seemed to refer to Rúben Dias, who Jama has been romantically linked to in recent months.
‘Micah, stop flirting and get her boyfriend to play for us,’ said Lineker.
The Masked Singer judge replied with a laugh: ‘Get out! This is why I don’t talk to old people. They’re so weird.’
It has been thought that Jama has been dating Manchester City player Dias since last year when the pair were spotted celebrating New Year’s Eve together.
Over the past few months, Dias has also posted photos on his social media of a mystery woman that looked like Jama from behind.
The presenter typically is tight-lipped when it comes to her relationships, having previously dated Stormzy in a relationship that received a huge amount of attention.
The star revealed just last year that she is now looking to settle down.
‘I am so happy right now but the next person I meet I want to marry and have kids with, so obviously I’m feeling fussy,’ Maya confided in The Standard.
‘I’ve created such a nice life for myself alone and I don’t want anyone who’s not going to add to that. I’m in this lovely bubble and I don’t want you unless you make me happy. If you’re not, I kind of don’t need you.
‘One thing I’ve learned: some people are like, “I’m lonely, I need someone.” But the mission in life is to make yourself happy, then find someone who brings something that matches that to the table.’
